What is the purpose of this role?

In order to improve vital company decision making, proposition and product analysis is being introduced throughout the company. This role is instrumental in ensuring that all costs (third party and internal via time sheeting) and revenue streams are accurately reported and analysed.

What makes this role unique?

Full product P&L’s are required for investment appraisal and ensuring specified financial criteria are met. This role is required to create and manage a new UK Services virtual project team which is vital in providing financial recommendations on whether propositions/products should be incorporated going forward.

What will this role involve?

• Responsible for ensuring that each new sale opportunity through to actual order has a unique project code against which to track time recording (resource).
• Month-end reporting of product profitability across UK services to management. Full P&L variances to forecasts and budget explained.
• Involvement in budgetary and forecast activities, liaising with products team on new and existing solutions.
• Managing information and general administration of project office and time recording system
• Monitoring and reporting of time recording and calculation of resource (under/over absorption) against each proposition and BAU activities ensuring compliance and adherence to procedure.
• Developing and improving existing time sheeting system to suit business needs to ensure that all time across the company is mapped against products and BAU activities.
• Production and verification of product cost cards.

What are we looking for?

• ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or newly graduated willing to develop professional skills
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and rules – profit and loss, balance sheet, investment appraisal
• Substantial relevant experience in finance related role
• Excellent user of Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to learn and develop and pro-actively build relationships with internal customers.
• Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with different business functions – Sales, Products, Central finance and Management.
